Principaux intérêts de recherche

Since my PhD thesis entitled “The mission-driven companies: Forms, model and implications of a collective commitment” (Les entreprises à mission : formes, modèle et implications d’un engagement collectif), my research focuses on the emergence, design and organization of new statutes and governance models for innovative companies. I study the impact of the definition of a collective “purpose” beyond classical for-profit objectives, and of the mechanisms of shareholder and stakeholder commitment on the innovation capability of the firm. This entails new models of solidarity and new types of relationships with investors (impact investors, public agencies, investment funds, …).

Areas of interest:

  • Theory and models of the innovative firm and its governance
  • History and recent evolutions of corporate law and corporate purpose
  • Purpose-driven companies, hybrid organizations and impact investing

Part of this research is conducted within the ANR Project “PURPOSE” in partnership with Citizen Capital (French impact investment fund) and the University of Memphis (FCBE).
